USING TRACESTAMP CAMERA

Terms & Conditions

These terms explain the conditions for using the TraceStamp Camera Android app and this website. Please read them before installing or using the app.

Effective: 26 September 2026Last updated: 12 October 2026
TraceStamp Camera is a free Android camera for Android 10 or newer that adds a visible date, time and required current location to photos and videos. There is no iOS release.

1. Scope and operator

These terms apply to the TraceStamp Camera Android app and this website, provided by Saul Redemption Services LLC ("we," "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, or using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or site.

The Privacy Policy explains how the app and website handle information.

2. Using the app

We give you a limited, non-exclusive right to install and use the app for lawful personal or business purposes while these terms apply. This does not transfer ownership of the app, its name, design, or code. You may not misuse the app or site, interfere with their operation, or present the app as your own. Rights that applicable law gives you remain unaffected.

The app is currently free and has no in-app purchases, ads, or account requirement. We will explain any future payment or account features before they apply.

3. Your captures and responsibilities

You retain your rights in photos, videos, audio, and notes that you create with the app. We do not claim ownership of them. You are responsible for what you record, the text you add, the permissions or consent required to record people or places, and how you use or share the result. Follow the laws and rules that apply where you use the app.

Every saved capture contains a location stamp: a place address, coordinates, or both, according to your selection. The app needs a current location and location permission to capture. The app chooses place text automatically; you cannot edit it. Check the stamp before sharing, especially when it may reveal a home, workplace, or another sensitive place.

4. Timestamp and location accuracy

Stamps are based on your device’s clock, selected timezone, location signals, OpenStreetMap-based place and address data through Geoapify, or Android’s fallback address lookup. A named place inside the device’s reported accuracy area is marked as nearby; it does not prove that the capture occurred inside that business. Device settings, signal quality, incomplete map data, or software behavior can make stamps inaccurate. A stamp is a visual record, not certified proof of when or where an event occurred. Do not rely on the app alone where exact timing, location, safety, or legal evidence is critical.

5. Downloads and third-party services

The official Android APK is published through the TraceStamp Camera public releases page on GitHub. Check that source and the published checksum before installing. Your device may ask you to allow installation from your browser or file manager.

When the app is offered on Google Play, that store handles its own app delivery. When you choose to open or share a capture, another app may receive access to that file. GitHub, Google Play, your browser, your device platform, and any app you choose for sharing operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control those services.

6. Availability and changes to the app

Features may vary by device, Android version, camera hardware, and permissions. We may fix, change, or discontinue features or distribution of the app. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular update schedule. We will revise these terms and the Privacy Policy when new features materially change how the app works or handles information.

7. Warranties and liability

We aim to make TraceStamp Camera reliable, but the app and website are provided as available. To the extent allowed by applicable law, we do not make guarantees that they will be error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent allowed by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect device time or location, unavailable camera hardware, a third-party service, or your decision to publish or share a capture. This section does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app or website changes. The “Last updated” date shows when we revised them. Material changes will be posted here and, where appropriate, announced in the app or release notes. Your continued use after an update means the updated terms apply from their effective date, to the extent permitted by law.
